Chapter 2 The Awakening

It wasn’t sadness. It wasn’t anger. It was something burning—like a volcano that’d been asleep for years, woken up by tonight’s shame and rage, now roaring to life.

I lifted my head, tears blurring my vision. A sliver of cold moonlight peeked through the branches, spilling onto the ground in front of me.

Like I was in a trance, I reached for it.

The second my finger touched that light, a shock shot through my body!

“Ugh!” I groaned. My bones vibrated, my blood felt like it was boiling. At the edge of my sight, a faint silver glow flickered.

But what scared me most was my eyes.

I stumbled to a nearby pond, staring at my reflection in the moonlit water. My face was still mine—but my pupils had lightened, glowing with icy silver. They looked foreign, yet familiar, like they held some power I couldn’t name.

At the same time, a weak but sharp energy poured out of me—out of control. The crickets stopped chirping instantly.

Is this really me?

Why did I make others want to bow?

“What… am I?” I whispered, staring at those silver eyes. This wasn’t a normal Omega reaction! Was this the bloodline awakening Richard talked about? But it didn’t feel like any werewolf power he’d described!

Then, a deep, powerful voice broke the silence behind me—so strong it made the air shake.

“I’ve finally found you, Your Majesty.”

I spun around, my heart nearly jumping out of my chest.
